World Challenge 2008 - Summary
The 2008 competition is now over. The weekend was jam-packed with excitement as 39 4-way teams and 13 Free Fly teams battled it out to claim the medals and prize money.
American 4-way FS team Airspeed Odyssey retained their World Challenge title for the third year in a row by taking Gold and Bodyflight's own Bodyflight Mamba took 1st place in the FreeFly competition.
Many competitors commented on what an exciting and well run competition this is, and many will be returning for the 2009 event on the 4th and 5th of April.

For three years Bodyflight Bedford, the World's largest indoor skydiving wind tunnel has hosted the Bodyflight World challenge. Now entering its 4th year, the 2009 competition will be bigger and better. Dubbed as, "The most significant international competition for skydivers ever held in the UK" by skydive mag, the Bodyflight Bedford World Challenge is coming back.
Taking place over the weekend of the 4th and 5th of April the Freefly and 4-way events will once more attract bodyflying enthusiasts including some of the World's most elite skydivers, in a fierce battle for huge cash prizes.
The competition consists of two categories; each with a professional and amateur competition so allowing a broad spectrum of flyers to enter and compete against each other. The 4-way FS event will see teams of four following set formations, flying against the clock. The 2-way Freefly event comprises teams of two who perform compulsory maneuvers and free routines. All teams, be they amateur or professional will fly in the same rounds competing against each other. Medals will then be awarded to the top three amateur FF and FS teams and medals and prize money will go to the top three professional FS and FF teams.
Both events are will be run concurrently over both days with a celebratory party afterwards.
