The 4-way formation skydiving competition is split into three categories:Rookie for amateur teams, AA for intermediate teams and AAA for expert teams. 4-way FS stands for 4 person Formation Skydiving. This discipline of skydiving is all about speed, accuracy and agility.

Competition Format

The competition has ten rounds spread over two days. The aim of each round is to complete as many pre-determined formations as possible in order as you can in 35 seconds. The teams will all fly on their fronts and are given the list of formations, or 'Draw' at the start of the competition.

Some top teams can score up to and over 40 points in each round – that’s more than one formation per second!

Prize Fund

The prize fund for the 2010 World Challenge 4-Way Formation Skydiving category is a fantastic £11,000 and is divided as described below:

• 1^st prize: £5,000
• 2^nd prize: £3,000
• 3^rd prize: £2,000
• 4^th prize: £1,000
