The 4-way event at the Bodyflight World challenge has fast become one of the most prestigious Formation Skydiving competitions in the world.

More and more teams have entered every year, with a record breaking 47 teams competing in the 2009 event. Many of the teams who enter are the national teams who come to represent their countries and include some of the world’s most elite skydivers.

For the first four years of the competiton the professional category in FS was dominated by the American national team Airspeed Odyssey. The reigning champions took the Gold medals at every single World Challenge between 2006 and 2009, despite some serious competition over the years.

In 2010 the French put a stop to Airspeeds gold medal odyssey and took the golds with a massive 305 points, narrowly beating British team XL by one point and Belgium team Hayabusa by four points.
